Winn Dixie is closing

Another hometown favorite Winn Dixie is closing 100 stores. Is it because of Wal-Mart, Target, or is it a larger reason the customer. Regardless of how big or small a business is, it is never larger than it’s customer and some businesses forget that along the way. Reasons that they forget this are, growth, money, power…but without customers none of those things are possible. Not saying that Winn Dixie thought they were bigger than it’s customers but if customers didn’t go else where would they still be closing? The same with Wal-Mart, if customers stop going there then they too will fade not as fast but in due time. Winn Dixie is filing for bankruptcy so it may be a matter or time before we stop seeing this old home town favorite but I say this on behalf of a lot of people, “Thanks Winn Dixie” for a lot of years of serving the communities.
